The City of Troy is sponsoring a FREE specialized summer program for City Youth; the program will operate July 7th - August 22nd, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Specialized weekly camps include CSI Camp, Culinary Camp, All Sports Week, Boxing, Adventure Camp, Cheerleading and Running/Nutrition Camp. Breakfast & lunch will be offered in conjunction with Renss. Co. Dept. for Youth Summer Food Program. Please note this is NOT a drop in program, you child must attend the full day program.

The Annual Uncle Sam Gravesite Ceremony - 10 a.m.
An annual ceremony by the Veterans of Lansingburgh will be held at the grave of Samual Wilson. Admission is FREE. Samual Wilson died in 1854 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetary.

Uncle Sam Parade - 1 p.m.
The parade starts at 1 p.m. RAIN or shine! The parade will step off from 125th Street & Fifth Avenue and ends at 106th Street. The parade will feature a march from local schools, organizations and some military outfits. Immediately following the parade a celebration at the Knickerbacker Park on 103rd Street & 8th Avenue will feature fun and entertainment for the family (rides for kids, chicken barbeque, our Elvis impersonator - Don Romines, and the Duanesburg sky divers). Following the Uncle Sam Celebration a fireworks show will be displayed at the Knickerbacker Park. Fireworks provided by Alonzo’s Fireworks.
