Car Wash & Bake Sale to benefit the Feed-A-Kid Program in N. Central - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Missing Link Street Ministry has partnered with the C.O.R.E. Church of Troy, to host a car wash and bake sale to raise money for the new Feed-A-Kid program in North Central. With the sad reality that hungry children exist right here in Troy, the Feed-A-Kid program is helping by serving hot meals to kids ages 5-15, every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 6 p.m. at the C.O.R.E. Church of Troy.

Additional Information: The C.O.R.E. Church of Troy joined forces with the Missing Link Street Ministry to begin the Feed-A-Kid ministry. Women in Business & Community Night - 5:30 p.m.
The Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is teaming up with the Valley Cats and Women in Business & Community. The event will benefit WERC and provide WERC students/graduates with an opportunity to network with other professional women. WERC students will be attending the evening’s event for FREE! A networking (value of $20) event will take place in the luxury suites of the Joe Bruno Stadium. All attendees will have the opportunity to meet & network with other women of the Capital District. This event will begin at 5:30 pm & hors d’oeuvres will be served. Following the networking event, picnic ticket holders will head down to the pavilion where the picnic will be held.

Troy Pig Out - Day 1 - 11am
The Troy Pig Out welcomes professional BBQ teams from across the United States for this two day competition which includes a People’s Choice Beef Rib Eye competition on Saturday, and the main event on Sunday. The Troy Pig Out is officially sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society and the office of the Governor as the New York State BBQ Championship, qualifying the winner for the National Championship. Great food and great music are the main attractions for guests to the festival, with live music filling Riverfront Park on both Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19th and a special fireworks show on Saturday night over the Hudson River.

The Hellions of Troy Roller Derby League - Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Hellions vs. The Slaughter Daughters. The Hellions are a rolling juggernaut of tough-as-nails athleticism, brutal competition and white-knuckled excitement. This summer, they will deliver sprawling pile ups, precision whips and lightning fast jams for Capital Region roller derby fans. Women’s roller derby is a full contact, aggressive, competitive sport played on traditional quad skates. For each bout, the Hellions will give a portion of its ticket sales to a local charity.

Quadricentennial Celebration - Burden Iron Works
One of Troy’s most historic buildings, the Burden Iron Works Museum was recently named one of the Seven to Save by the Preservation League of New York State. An afternoon lecture series, museum tours, and the unveiling of the Hanks Family Bicentennial exhibition will offer a unique glimpse of Troy as it existed 200 years ago.
