christmas tree pickup / dropoff

Residents can place their real Christmas trees at the curb for recycling as a part of their regular curbside collection between January 2 and January 12, 2024.    

Residents may also bring real Christmas trees to the Troy Resource Management Facility (Alamo) located on the corner of Main St. and E. Industrial Parkway on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9am to 1pm.

Those who wish to dispose of an artificial tree should contact the Department of Public Works dispatcher at (518) 270-4579

TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED 
The City of Troy will be suspending requests for bulk pickup beginning on December 1, 2023.  The service will resume Spring of 2024.  The temporary suspension occurs annually to ease snow removal efforts.

About Us

Sanitation collects and disposes of approximately 14,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year. We collect from the 17,000 residential households and approximately 3,000 business properties in the city per week in a safe, efficient and sanitary manner. Sanitation also collects all recyclable materials such as plastic, glass, metal, paper and yard waste from residential properties in the city.

Contact a Litter Patrol officer for violations pertaining to trash and garbage

Report Illegal Dumping
