Officer Michael Bourdon Promoted to Sergeant in Troy Police Department

 

Troy, NY (Feb 19) – Mayor Carmella R. Mantello and Police Chief Dan DeWolf proudly announce the promotion of Officer Michael Bourdon to the rank of Sergeant in the Troy Police Department. A dedicated and accomplished officer, Sgt. Bourdon has demonstrated outstanding service and leadership throughout his tenure with the department.

 

“Sergeant Bourdon’s promotion is well-earned and well-deserved,” said Mayor Mantello. “His commitment to the safety and well-being of our residents, along with his professionalism and dedication to the Troy Police Department, makes him a tremendous asset to our city. I have no doubt that he will continue to serve with integrity and distinction in his new role. Retention and growth of our officers is a top priority to maintain public safety and trust in the community and I am so glad to see Sergeant Bourdon climb through the ranks of the department.”

 

Chief DeWolf echoed the mayor’s sentiments, emphasizing Bourdon’s contributions to the department. “Sergeant Bourdon has consistently gone above and beyond in his duties, showing great leadership and an unwavering dedication to the people of Troy. His experience and work ethic will serve him well in this new role, and I have full confidence in his ability to lead and mentor his fellow officers.”

 

Sergeant Bourdon expressed his gratitude for the promotion and the support he has received throughout his career. “It is an honor to serve the City of Troy and to continue working alongside the outstanding men and women of the Troy Police Department. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to taking on new challenges as I step into this leadership position.”

 

Sergeant Bourdon’s promotion is effective immediately, and he will assume his new responsibilities within the department as he continues to serve and protect the Troy community.
