Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a medical exam and a physical agility test (CPAT). Click here to learn more about the CPAT.
  • Must pass a psychological evaluation.
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation.
  • Must certify as a NYS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within twelve (12) months of hire.
