A Brief History
In 2016, the City of Troy was successful in pursuing funding through the New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) - NYS Department of State (NYSDOS) for the design of Four Sites as carefully selected from Troy's Comprehensive Plan to enhance the City's Waterfront Access and Gateways. Strategically, in 2019 and after years of robust development throughout Troy (including the Seawall and Waterfront North Extension projects), the time was ripe to move the design of these key sites forward.
Working hand-in-hand with the Chazen Companies, Saratoga Associates, 3t Architects, and local Stakeholders, the City has developed the following schematic designs to further public discussion and design development.
What's Next?
Two public meetings were held on January 22nd and 28th of 2020 to present information on potential waterfront access and gateway improvement sites in the Collar City. The four sites from Troy's Comprehensive Plan offer extraordinary opportunities.
