office hours & location | The Office of General Services manages bulk trash billing for the Sanitation Bureau. The Office of General Services is located in the Mayor's Office on the fifth floor in Troy City Hall 433 River Street, Troy NY 12180. Access map for directions. City Hall is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. City Hall is not open on these these Holidays.

Pay Bill
Pay Online
Any processing fees associated with online payments are not received by the City, and are charged by the third-party vendor providing the service. See our pay online page for questions and help.
Pay in Person
Bulk Trash bills can be paid in person at the Treasurer's Office in Troy City Hall at 433 River St. Troy NY 12180 during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Treasurer's Office only accepts cash, check, or money order as payment.

Bulk Trash Payment Due
Bulk trash bills are due 30 days from the bill date.
Bulk Trash Fees
Owner Occupied
A $25 hauling fee is applied to EACH haul removed. One haul is defined as up to a maximum of 2 cubic yards of bulk no matter the dimensions (example: washer and dryer side by side). Two hauls removed would be a $50 charge. Owner-occupied properties are only exempt from itemized charges but not from the hauling fee.
Non Owner Occupied
Non-owner-occupied properties, commercial, retail, non-profit entities, and residents who do NOT utilize city trash/recycle pick-up will be charged an Additional fee based upon specific bulk waste items.
- There will be a charge for each individual item plus a $25 hauling fee for EACH haul removed. One haul is defined as up to a maximum of 2 cubic yards of bulk no matter the dimensions (example: washer and dryer side by side). For example, two hauls removed would be a $50 charge.
- A bill will be sent to the property owner. It is up to the property owner to determine who is responsible for payment (i.e. tenant).
